1/24 Custom H&R/Monogram Petty-Gurney '70 Plymouth Superbird Stock Car Slot Car

This is a Monogram '70 Plymouth Superbird built loosely as a NASCAR Stock car and mounted on a New H&R HRCH09 RTR Chassis. Silicone Rear Tires. 26,000 RPM motor. Petty prepared, driven by Dan Gurney.  The decal manufacturer's call out was for "Dark Blue". I purchased a can of Tamiya Dark Blue lacquer and painted the body while waiting for the decals.  One man's dark blue is not necessarily another man's dark blue.  The box is pretty beat. The original top, not bottom. This is a Styrene Model Kit. I securely mounted the wing, and reinforced the joints with clear parts cement. But, if you put it on it's lid, it ain't gonna fare any better than the real thing would. There is a small chunk missing from the inside of the right front tire. Doesn't effect the way it runs.
