    The vital statistics: 1626 Austria - Bishopric of Salzburg Thaler, struck under the Prince-Archbishop Paris von Lodron (1619-1653).  KM# 87, 28.71 g (1.01 oz) weight, 40 mm (1.57 in) diameter.

    Madonna with child standing above coat of arms of the Archbishop. In a circle, the first verse of a prayer to Mary "Sub tuum praesidium confugimus".

    Reverse
    St.Rupert holding at left hand his salt box, right hand a crozier, standing above the arms of Salzburg. Legend around (starts 1h) for "Sanctus Rupertus Episcopus Salisburgensis". The mitre divides the legend on top.
