Description
This is a choice, brilliant uncirculated, silver,
"Seven Kreuzer"
from the last days of the thousand-year-old
"Holy Roman Empire"
based in Austria. It was struck at Karlsburg in 1802 for the Emperor Francis II. This was an odd denomination, and these 7 Kreuzers were only struck this one year, in 1802.
Until Napoleon defeated him at Austerlitz in 1805, Francis was the
"Holy Roman Emperor"
. Napoleon insisted so the 1000-year history of that empire came to an end in 1806 and Francis II became Francis I and just the
"Emperor of Austria"
. After Waterloo in 1815 Francis joined with Russia and Prussia to form the
"Holy Alliance"
.

The Coin:
A brilliant uncirculated, still lustrous piece. It got put away somehow and stayed put. Fully original, it has never been cleaned. As grading is subjective, please see the pictures and judge for yourself.
