    Offered is an interesting printed invitation to the First Grand Masquerade of the Ten Social Club. The ball was to be held on Thanksgiving evening, 1878, in the Petaluma [California] Theater. “The attendance of yourself and ladies is respectfully solicited at the…” It looks to be hand addressed to Mr Farquar. I find no history on the Ten Social Club. Folded the invitation is about 3 ¼” x 5 ½”. It unfolds to 6 ¼” x 11 ¼”. There is only printing on the two sides shown. No envelope. Mild general wear and light soiling.
