The large atlas offered here is for 2 counties Clay and Union Counties, South Dakota.  They were published by Anderson Publishing Company, Publishers of Des Moines, Iowa in 1924. This is one of the large standard atlases made with dark red hardcover cover boards.  It is a large atlas 16" tall by 12" wide and shipping weight is about 7 pounds. It has pages showing each township in the county with ownership written in, plus black and white photographs of people, places and things in this county.  Also, there are plat maps of the city and towns in that county in 1929, many of which are no longer in existence, or in some cases may never have been built, just the plat map created.  Many of the town names I have never heard of.  There is also historical information and great vintage advertisement.  A great resource for genealogists and historians and those who have had family living in that area 90+ years ago.  Please check my "other listings" for more great South Dakota atlases and history books.
