Rare Belemnite Specimen, roughly 100-120 Million Year Old, Cretaceous Squid Fossil as pictured. A very rare find in Madagascar! Stands by itself.
Belemnite are a now extinct squid-like cephalopod. This bullet-shaped fossil is the squid's guard, which is composed of Aragonite & Calcite!
Locality: Mainterano, Madagascar
