    Description

Antique Linen/Paper Patch McILVAIN of PHILADELPHIA Gold on Black Lady Columbia
Someone from Philadelphia may know what this is. I know the Mcilvain's were in Lumber in Philadelphia and their name is very well known historically. This is simply a 3" x 2.5" piece of either fine linen or specially woven paper in black with gold border, probably off something else. Showing Lady Columbia with her flag and eagle at her feet and on the front of her shield is an address 2668 Richmond Street, the name McIlvain and then right at the bottom Phila. It's in very good condition, some slight fraying on one side. There is some residue on the back, possibly a patch of some sorts? Hopefully a nice collectible.
