Austria - 1564-95 Large Silver Thaler - Ferdinand

Description

This is an Austrian Large Silver Thaler of Ferdinand 1564-1595 in F+ condition for this type. Possibly Davenport-8097 but we don't have the reference. Has some surface marks, rim bumps, a bit dark, most likely cleaned because it is bright with hairlines, and some light corrosion on the rim. Struck at the Hall Mint for Tyrol. A very nice early Thaler in collectible condition. Tough to find and large Thalers at this low a price. Weighs approximately 27.63 grams. S
