    Description

    BRM 008 PORSCHE 962 chassis #102 COCA-COLA IMSA 1986 12 Hrs Of Sebring Winner 1:24 Slot Car.
In the final 12-hour race held on the circuit configuration that included the active airport runways at Sebring International Raceway, the Bob Akin Racing Coca-Cola Porsche 962 of Bob Akin, Hans-Joachin Stuck, and Jo Gartner won by eight laps, and set the record for the fastest 12 Hours ever with an average speed of 115.85 mph. This record would stand for 23 years, until it was broken by Audi in 2009.
This is a used slot car that has some minor blemishes, but has a tested, fast running motor. With a little love, this will again be a great racer.
I purchased this slot car used with the following issues that will need to be addressed by the new owner, as I’ve decided to stick to 1:32 scale...
    * The rear screw mounting point was somehow damaged, and the original rear mounting screw was missing. So, the shell was lightly glued to the chassis just along the length between the two tail lights. The glue has since been broken loose to inspect under the shell.
    * When the shell is attached to the chassis, there is tension at the FRONT wheels preventing them from spinning freely.
