    Description

For bid is an original circa 1958-1962 "Redevelopment Agency of the City and County of San Francisco" information booklet printed for residents of the neighborhood at a time when there were many old, derelict buildings (urban blight).  Booklet has blue soft covers and 20 unnumbered pages inside!  Booklet is full of information designed to teach residents of the "WESTERN ADDITION" neighborhood redevelopment process and "How it Affects You."  Pretty simple information for people with house or condominium issues...  Many pages illustrated with midcentury cartoon-like illustrations.  There is a terrific map of the neighborhood on what would have been page 4 of the booklet:  "Which Blocks are Included in Western Addition Project A-1?"
This is a fun piece of SF history from when old Victorian buildings were being raised for "modern" structures.
Booklet is in very good, used condition.
