fOsSiL (2) RARE Glymptambon & Dalmanites Trilobite Waldron Shale Crinoid
Winner receives the professionally prepared , self collected pieces in the photos . 2 trilobite species in total , the first is beautiful thick 2” x 2 “ preservation of the pygidium (tail) & telson of the rare Dalmanites Limulurus. The second is an Uber rare preservation of the cephalon (head) of a Glymptambon verrucosis including one of the faceted eyes. These two just make a great display
I was part of a small group of 6 fossil enthusiasts that opened a 2 year private dig at the flooded and abandoned & closed Blue Springs Quarry near Waldron in 2006. Much of the material I found was stored in my barn, located 4 miles from the dig site, and I recently have been having some of this material professionally prepared. I will also include or mail separately a 4”x6” colored photo print of the dig operations shown in the auction photos. This fossil will also mail from the Waldron, Indiana post office if you care to track your auction ;)- I don’t prep fossils, and my prep guy charged more than the starting bid in prep time with his air abrasive on this fossil as fyi … eBay takes 11% and Uncle Sam another 20% , so when I say the .99 starting price is a token start , I’m not kidding ;).
