Rare fossil gastropod Marsh Periwinkle (Littorina irrorata) from dredge spoil on Pelican Island, Galveston,Texas. The modern ones are living up in Galveston Bay. Fossils are from the Beaumont Formation, Pleistocene age. In mud-stone along with shellhash. Stone has been broken off.  See Pics.... Not in concrete.... Some fossils are not perfect and have missing or broken parts. Fossil crabs used to found in dredge mud also. Rare....
