Garden Border Fence Panels: Set of 3, Wooden, Rustic
These panels are rustic, handsome, and stoutly built. We are new to the market.
Each panel is 21 inches wide by 17 inches tall.  The photos show the panels with 6 inches of the risers in the ground and approximately 11 inches from the ground to the top.  From front to back the panels are approximately 1 and ½ inches thick.
They are made from utility lumber stock and are designed to age into grayed, rough surfaced, rustic looking wood.  The stock is always some form of pine, however, we have no control over what comes out of the pile.  All will be some form of long grained coniferous tree such as yellow pine, larch, or similar material. Each is glued with water resistant glue and pegged with solid wood pegs for both aesthetics  and strength.
Each set of 3 panels comes with
one marine themed applique
.  The remaining 2 panels in the set are plain.  The applique is glued solidly onto the top cross section.  The appliques are made from birch plywood and will swell and achieve a nice aged look.  In harsh sun and water conditions they will peal and crack without treatment.
The panels are NOT finished.  You can paint them, or you can finish them with wood sealers. The panels are not made with outdoor prepared finishes, or prepared with chemicals to resist moisture.  This is on purpose.  They are designed to naturally deteriorate and age over several years and to be safe for your children, pets, and your gardens.  They also satisfy the requirements for organic gardens in that they have not been treated in any way other than the neutral glue since they were a tree.
Things to be aware of:
These are wood products and wood, water, and UV radiation don't mix well.  The panels are best suited to a location in the shade, away from heavy sprinkler use.  The more water and the more direct sun the faster they will deteriorate.
Wood is a natural material and we don't control the color the raw product.  Some panels are very clean and yellowish, and others have bands of gray running through them.  All of the panels will turn a silvery gray if left untreated.
If left untreated, all of the panels will eventually decompose, especially the risers.  We highly suggest you treat or paint them.

Return Policy:
All Panels with broken cross slats or risers will be exchanged within 30 days.  The winning bidder needs to inform us of any damage or problems with the panels within 3 days of receipt of the merchandise.
Some of the risers have natural splits at the top.  These have been stabilized with special glues.  These are rustic and we do not consider this damage.
Our suggestions:
We make our panels so they fill the requirements for organic gardening.  If this is not something that is important to you we suggest you treat them with an outdoor wood conditioner like Thompson's Water Seal, spar varnish, or paint.  All of the products can be purchased at any home store, lumber yard, or big box store that carries lawn and garden supplies.
If you choose not to treat the tops and watch them age and become part of the landscape with colors and pealing that give the wood character, we suggest that you treat the lower 7 inches of the risers with some form of waterproofing such as paint or Thompson's Water Seal.
Should you receive your panels and any are broken, let us know and we will happily send you a replacement.
