Majority of the grass weave retains the red dye, some sections have faded from time. One of the people carvings has detached from the grass weave that was holding it in place. Overall, very nice display piece.

    Large Vintage Great Lakes Native American Elm Bark Canoe Model Paddles 30" Long

    I am pleased to offer this rather large 20th Century Great Lakes area Native American Elm Bark Canoe model!
    Hand crafted elm bark construction with dyed grass weave, two paddles, and two primitive people figures
    No markings or signatures
    Measures approx. 30" Long x 7-5/8" W x 6-1/4" Tall
    Condition:
    Moderate dust from age, display. Exterior is in nice shape, with some small spots of bark loss, mostly along the ends. Majority of the grass weave retains the red dye, some sections have faded from time. One of the people carvings has detached from the grass weave that was holding it in place. Overall, very nice display piece.
