    Description

Up for bid is one lot of 4 sterling silver salt spoons by Kenneth Begay! A beautiful offset "ladies shoe toe" design partially covers the top of each spoon which allows the salt (or pepper) to be scooped up by the spoon, moved down to the tip while being contained by the cover, and then shaken over the food! The set all has the marks of Kenneth Begay and the mark of the White Hogan, a silversmiths shop in Scottsdale, AZ, and are marked "Sterling"! The White Hogan, which closed in 2006, has been credited for breaking the mold of Navajo jewelry designs of the day and presenting a new modern Native American chic!  Kenneth Begay has been called the "Father of contemporary Navajo jewelry" for his clean, bold, modern designs! The salt spoons are about 2 1/4 inches long, and the lot of 4 weighs 26.5 grams. The set could use a good cleaning and polishing to bring out all of the beauty, but we will leave that up to the buyer. The item pictured is the exact item you are bidding on.
