NICE  Sundial FOSSIL
SHELL from FLORIDA -
Architectonica nobilis
This fossil Sundial shell is from from the
Pliocene period, part of the Caloosahatchee Formation.
It was collected at the
bottom of the Newburn APAC Pit, Sarasota, Fl
.  It is now closed to the general public like most fossil shell pits in Florida.
You get the exact specimen shown in the photos above.  It does have a uniqueness to it.
Architectonica nobilis
is 2.7 cm long.
