I am a Journeyman Machine Rebuilder and learned how to scrape in the 1960's from my Dad,  Herman Red King in Minneapolis MN.  He learned how from German Immigrants during WW2 here in MN.  I started to teach class at General Motors in Indianapolis, IN in the late 1980's and since then have taught all over the world:  Germany, Austria, Norway, Denmark, United Kingdom, Turkey, Canada, 2 years time in Taiwan to new machine builders , machine rebuilders and hobbyists,  many dozens of fortune 500 companies in the USA.
Since 1988 I have taught over 40,000 students.  I now teach mostly inside my home shop as airplane travel is difficult.

Cottage Grove, Minnesota
.   There is an International Airport in Minneapolis (MSP)  I su
pply all the tools, but if you have your own, bring them.   There are several Motels / Hotels and AIRBNB's in the area.

Soon, I will advertise a classes here in MN in the summer and fall of 2023.
The first 2 days of the classes, I will teach hand and power ways scraping and flaking, day 3 to 5, I will help you scrape a personal project you bring with. Many bring a straight-edge, surface plate, angle plate, lathe compound, etc. I mix the class with Q&A sessions on how to and tricks of the trade of Machine Rebuilding.  I only have room for 6 students, so if you want to attend, Buy it Now!  I have been rebuilding all sorts of machines from Tol room, Automotive machines, Lathes, milling machines grinders, gear machines, etc.  We discuss how to level and align VMC's, to small lathes.
