Description and application of PM plane-parallel plate:
Plane-parallel glass plate PM - designed to check the flatness and mutual parallelism of the surfaces of micrometers and staples by the interference method. PM plates are widely used in the tool industry, machine tool building, instrument making, machine building and many other industries. To check micrometers with different measuring ranges, PM plates are made of four standard sizes: PM15 plane-parallel plate, PM40 plane-parallel plate, PM65 plane-parallel plate, PM90 plane-parallel plate. PM plates of each standard size are completed with 4 pieces in 6 sets. Each of the kits is sufficient for a complete calibration of the micrometer.
Plane-parallel glass plates PM-15 have the form of round straight cylinders with polished end surfaces that are measuring.
The cylindrical surface of the plates should be matte, with the exception of the area intended for applying markings.
