This 21 by 17-inch Rifle Scabbard d(including fringe) is designed and decorated like those pictured as used by Plains Indians in the 1800s. Nothing about who made it, its age, or origins is known. It is decorated with bead work, five medallions, on one side; features brass-like closures; and appears to be made of a red/brown leather or soft imitation leather. It fits and looks great on a contemporary rifle, or is a potential framed art piece.
