Stereo Viewer Stereoscope Jules Richard, 45x107mm, ca. 1910, rare, great cond.!

Description

This is Jules Richard absolute de luxe model for the 45-107mm size glass stereo views and as such very rare. It was sold to be used with his Verascope stereo cameras and was the top model in this category with a nickel plated top and very refined lens width and distance adjustments, which are great for viewing - and they still work extremely well. These viewers were only produced between 1910-19 as far as I know.
This particular viewer is in overall great condition and I let the photos speak for themselves. Being over 100 years old, it shows of course some signs of use and the nickel plating shows a small amount of patina and wear (see photos). The lacquer is overall well preserved with only a few scuff marks. Optically it is excellent with the lenses being scratch free and showing no marks, fungus or chips. The same goes for the lens mounts, which have no cracks or dings and the glass at the back.
Stereo viewers in this format don't come better than that and this is an absolute collectors item. It is prized to sell (just compare with others listed on ebay if you can indeed find any).
