Camera LOOKS & WORKS GREAT!
_____________________________________________
I have been collecting 3D media for the last 30 years and finally decided it's time to part ways with some of my favorite things.
This black and beautiful bakelite 3D stereo camera is in perfect mechanical condition. It works perfectly as the day it was made. It can take four 3D stereo pairs or eight single frame photos on one roll of 127 film. All you do to switch from stereo mode to regular camera mode is turn the selector knob on the front panel and one of lenses is instantly covered. The camera itself is in excellent mechanical condition and would take great photos! The finish is also excellent and all pieces are present - even both the silver eye rings on the back that so often fall off and are lost. Please see my photos. Everything looks flashy and very cool!
If you want to use this camera, It would take great photos! Or if you're a camera enthusiast who doesn't have a 3D Stereo camera in his or her display case, this one would look great and would not disappoint! If you have any questions, please email!
Thanks for looking!
From the Viewmaster website:
The Coronet stereo camera was manufactured by Coronet Ltd of Birmingham, England circa. 1953. It had two fixed lenses, one of which could be blanked off, so the camera could either take eight single (mono) shots, or four stereo pairs on a roll of 127 film. The lenses were meniscus, single element and uncoated.
The camera was simplicity itself to operate. The shutter was cocked using a lever on the front. This can be seen in the picture. The shutter was then released using the plunger on the left-hand side. The camera offered just one fixed shutter speed of 1/50th second.
