  • Condition: Used Volvo Penta SX_A outdrive upper unit. Very good body, good shaft with u-joint. Does not shift freely as I think an internal gear is sticking somehow so this is a parts unit that needs checked inside for a possible gear issue. My mechanic thinks a partial gear replacement near or at the shifter as it is difficult to shift at times..

    Volvo Penta SX_A upper unit from a 2008 outdrive.  1.79 gear ratio
    Serial # A 117288
    Fresh water use, this has a shift problem so I just replaced the entire outdrive. I cannot see any visual damage or misuse.
    U-Joint and shaft are in good working order. I'm selling it as a parts unit as it needs the shift problem addressed.
