    Description

    This listing is for a wonderful unused strip of "Victorian Scrap".  It was called that because these type of pieces originated in the Victorian era, and were used in card making and ... scrap books!  This type of die cut is still made today, but once you handle a lot of the original and reproductions, you will be able to easily identify the older pieces.  The older ones are printed on a much heavier paper, and will have darkened on the back.  The new pieces are printed using modern printing methods, and will be printed on light weight paper, and be bright white on the back.  Very rarely have I seen an old piece that is white on the back.  Even a cream color... most of the really old pieces are slightly to very darkened on the back.  These 10 pieces are all included, and they measure about 1 3/4" tall. They are marked, but since they were separated from a really large sheet of die cuts, didn't get a little oval with "Germany" on it.  There is a blank oval, and a model number.  They are from my personal collection that I am liquidating (I am 73, so its time to let go!).  They are guaranteed authentic.  I date them to the 1920s by the type of illustraiton.
