a scarce dinner/cabinet navy blue transferware plate featuring historical sights and important buildings along the Spoon River Valley Scenic Drive in Fulton Country, Illinois, made famous in Edgar Lee Masters'
Spoon River Anthology
. Designed by Marjorie Rich Bordner for Amaquonsippi Chapter NSDAR, and produced by Kettlesprings Kilns of Alliance, Ohio, in 1977. Wonderful color, rich design, perfect for a plate wall display. Our photos show the condition best and are the most important part of the description. Please enlarge and zoom in them to view the condition for yourself. Very clean, fresh, bright, and glossy, with no cracks, chips, utensil marks, stains, or crazing. A few light, completely colorless scratches to the glaze can be seen under close inspection when the plate is held up to a direct source of light at just the right angle.
We consider funky odors (cigarette smoke, mildew, etc) to be an important part of a condition report.
