Vintage Handmade JoNa Of Chandler Arizona Large Decorated Gourd with
Attached Deer Antler Horn, Leather wrapping around edge opening and a Feather cluster.
Inside was a card,
GOURDS by JoNa
Southwestern & Western Designs
I do not see that the Gourd is signed.
(I think it was made in the late 80's or early 90's)
This Gourde is Very Large at 22 1/2 inches long (To Stem Edge) by 11 inches wide and about 10 1/2 inches high.
Some Feathers are loose or missing.
And even thou the Antler is sewn with sinew on one end the other end has come unglued. (Both easy Fixes)
There is also a place where it was sewn like the old American Indians did with
sinew
.
Even the leather looks like it was Hand Tanned.
Very nice unique one of a kind Southwest American Indian Art.
